Prior to exploring MaxBilling’s capabilities, our client CDS was facing challenges related to the manual, spreadsheet-driven approach, which the company was following with the purpose to provide customized invoices for its clients. Due to the different custom requirements received from clients, the organization was forced to deploy a time-consuming and potential error-prone solution.

MaxBilling’s fundamental purpose of automating and streamlining the billing process within Relativity perfectly responded to the needs and objectives of the client in terms of billing and invoicing in the platform.

By adopting MaxBilling, CDS was enabled to fully automate its billing workflow, mitigate errors, and additionally provide a quality product to its clients.

Due to the specifics and custom demands of each customer of the company, CDS requested the development of a separate version of our MaxBilling application, which would be utilized by its customers. The provided custom version of the billing solution, which includes the base MaxBilling functionality, was built with the purpose to allow pulling metrics for specific clients across different Relativity workspaces. The new product version can be installed on client-specific workspaces, being dedicated, and restricted to a particular client.

Another essential customization, developed exclusively for the client, is a custom invoice Excel file created according to a template provided by CDS, which allows generating Excel invoices based on MaxBilling invoices. This feature has made it easy for the client to conveniently get access to reporting information about each separate Relativity Matter, along with the regular billing report files.

Furthermore, upon a request from CDS, our dev team implemented several additional report billing items in MaxBilling, including Production Set File Size and Counts, capturing Natives and Extracted Text separately, which have offered broader reporting abilities to the client.

The key outcome, which MaxBilling has provided for CDS as a response to its billing challenges in Relativity, is an automation of the company’s billing process through the scheduling capabilities of the app, as well as flexibility to receive customizations of the product as per the unique real-case scenarios of the client.

The main objective of the company to ensure reporting and back-up invoicing for its clients has been efficiently fulfilled by our billing application. The leading benefit acquired by the client is the ability to provide these products in an automated way, as compared to the previously mentioned time-consuming manual, spreadsheet-driven billing process.

Our client is now allowed to focus on its core activities within Relativity, at the same time following a fully automated and streamlined billing workflow, which complements the story of success about CDS and MaxBilling.
