Challenge

Previous to exploring MaxBilling as an opportunity, PLUSnxt utilized multiple solutions to generate monthly billing reports, which required significant manual effort and oversight to complete and to ensure accurate accounting. Multiple departments of the organization had to get involved in this heavy process, every month being a sprint to try and issue invoices in a timely manner to their clients.

Solution

The team at PLUS explored the features and benefits of our MaxBilling application to determine if the technology would solve their problem. After several demonstrations of the product, the teams worked together on a Proof of Concept to evaluate if the current workflow would improve by leveraging MaxBilling.

MaxBilling was developed within the Relativity and RelativityOne platforms to facilitate automation and streamline the billing process in order to alleviate the struggles that many clients are facing.

As the PLUS team got further in the POC, they realized that the application can be useful for more than just reporting on Relativity billing statistics. Based on the client’s feedback, our development team worked to add features that have enabled PLUS to track and report on internal billable activity and display in custom dashboards.

Results

The major effect of this collaborative effort and custom development in MaxBilling is that PLUS is now able to execute end-of-month reporting immediately upon month-end and leverage scheduling capabilities to generate custom reports for their clients.

Additionally, PLUS has been empowered to provide dashboards to its Managed Service clients that display real-time information on the cost associated with their projects. This transparency has greatly improved PLUS’ and their clients’ ability to control costs in these challenging times of data expansion.
